CREST HILL, IL — A 51-year-old former Joliet resident remains in the Will County Jail facing several felony charges of arson in connection with a weekend fire at a residence in the 1900 block of Kelly Avenue in Crest Hill. On Monday, Will County prosecutors charged Dion Ware with aggravated arson, residential arson and arson. The complaint states that Ware damaged the bed and carpet of Sunny Jenkins' property without his consent. One of the arson charges indicates that Ware partially damaged the building at 1907 Kelly Ave., knowing Jenkins was present. The incident happened Sunday, and Ware was booked into the Will County Jail around 9:50 p.m. that evening. Bail was set by a Will County judge at $5,000 for Ware, who remained in detention Monday evening, unable to post the necessary 10 percent. Crest Hill's 1900 block of Kelly Avenue.
