DETROIT — A Wayne County Corrections Officer was killed in Detroit on Monday morning, according to a report from The Detroit News. Officials said Devante Jones, 23, was shot and killed while fleeing from his vehicle at the intersection of East Forest Avenue and Chrysler Drive in Detroit around 4:50 a.m., police said. He was rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital, but died from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Live in Detroit?
