Regional Distributors, Inc. is one of the largest distributors of commercial cleaning and food service products and equipment in Western NY. We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing commercial equipment, chemical dispensing equipment, towel and tissue dispensers and floor cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure professional, first-rate, timely service and maintain the company's high level of service standards. RATE: Starting at $21/hour dependent on experience, plus full health benefits and retirement package. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES: -- Regular preventative maintenance on commercial equipment from a variety of manufacturers. -- Installation, diagnostic, repair and service on various commercial equipment, chemical dispensing equipment, towel & tissue dispensers and floor cleaning equipment. -- Provide recommendations to customer on proper equipment and product usage. -- Identify replacement parts needed. -- Communicate with Service Coordinator regarding necessary parts to be ordered and repairs needed, including estimate of labor involved. -- Support and follow direction from the Service Coordinator in scheduling and dispatching service calls and installations. -- Participate in relevant service and industry trainings. -- Maintain knowledge of the company’s mission, product offerings, operations, goals, communications outlets and customers’ product needs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: -- At least two years of service technician or relevant industry experience is preferred. -- Mechanical, plumbing and electrical experience and knowledge is preferred. -- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. -- Strong customer service skills, experience interacting directly with customers and understanding of customer needs and expectations. -- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills. -- Maintain a highly professional appearance and demeanor. -- Flexibility to adapt and adjust schedule on a daily basis; ability to prioritize. -- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -- Willingness to share in a rotating on-call schedule with 2-3 other technicians, in order to cover emergency calls after hours and on weekends. -- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds, as well as frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above and below the waist. -- Valid and clean driver’s license is required.
