Lost Trek bike chained to 1-up bike rack fell off car!

Stupid me I stopped along the AlCan in Yukon and discovered my bike rack with bike had dropped off my car miles and miles, hours and hours earlier! Someone else pulled into the rest stop where I had stopped. He said he had seen someone standing up a bike by the side of the road in Northway and it was the only bike he had seen on his trip. I was distracted while driving with an emergency at home in New Hampshire and other things. I know the bike was on the car when I left Tok on Friday afternoon, September 17. If you hear of anything please let me know. I am driving back to New Hampshire via California - long story and losing bike and rack is devastating. The bike is a black and white mountain bike, has red pedals and a purple and white where the handlebars join the fork. I have spoken with Canadian border patrol, US border patrol and left a message with state police dispatcher in Tok. And I left a message on the gas station in Northway's answerphone. Thank you for any ideas you might have or posting in shops in Tok for me, spreading the word amongst mountain biker folk? I drove all the way back and never saw it. Went through Canadian customs twice that night and added 5 more hours to my journey. If anyone picks it up they will have to get through hardened steel chain or lock.
