We are looking for a Warehouse Specialist to join the Baker Electric team! As a Warehouse Specialist you will assist in a variety of warehouse duties, including unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling warehouse requests, maintaining yard cleanliness and overall warehouse organization. This is a non-union opportunity with Baker Electric in our Los Angeles region.  As a team you will help to ensure the warehouse successfully supports the field projects timely and accurately. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for receiving trucks and unloading tools, equipment, and trash Responsible for proper storage and inventory accuracy of material and supplies stored at the warehouse. Stock warehouse with tools and materials in proper locations Fulfill warehouse requests from field Foreman and stage in proper location Support Shipping and Receiving team with checking in merchandise and applying request labels as requested Inspect all orders for damage and missing items Forward all incoming material delivery paperwork to Assistant Warehouse Supervisor for processing.   Maintain secured, clean, and organized storage areas in warehouse at all times Provide back-up driving / delivery support as requested EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION: 2+ years of warehouse operations experience (picking / packing / staging / inventory) Construction experience is a plus High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience. Ability to lift to 50lbs Reliable and predictable attendance is required Forklift experience preferred KEY COMPETENCIES / SOFT SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication skills Safety Consciousness Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other team members This job is contingent upon passing a criminal background check, Motor Vehicle Report, and drug testing. WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standard office environment. Individual will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally may have to lift boxes full of materials for purposes of setup of programs, typically 50 pounds or less.
