I haven’t played with anyone (or even a whole song) since the early 90s where I would best describe myself as an experienced beginner playing very basic lead guitar in a garage band.
Forced into retirement, I’ve spent the last few years rebuilding and expanding my fret board understanding while developing effective methods of learning.
I’m pretty intrepid – I’ll take on solos from Vince Gill Billy Gibbons Joe Walsh Eric Clapton Dickey Betts Jerry Garcia etc etc.
The reason for this post is that considering where I started just a few years ago, I’m kinda excited about the progress I’ve made to date and it’s probably past time I found another intrepid amateur guitar player to learn to trade licks and play rhythm with and maybe by pooling our abilities, even a whole song?
It probably goes without saying that if you can play at this level, you’re likely as serious about it and love it as much as I do.
No pressure to play perfectly
No set list to learn in a week (I don’t even have one)
No rule that says something has to be this way or that way
I’m just interested in having a good time and expanding/polishing my knowledge experience and ability with a like minded easygoing individual – who knows, maybe we can put something together for an occasional open mic splash.
