Would you like to combine your love of fishing and books? Then you have come to the right place! We are looking for a warehouse/distributor for our client that sells fishing books and videos. Responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. MAJOR JOB DUTIES Receiving and documenting merchandise from deliver or return. Identifying and noting missing or damaged items, cost changes and location IDs. Entering and processing data into computer. Stocking merchandise into the correct location. Handling all merchandise with appropriate care. Picking and packing orders for shipment. identify and note missing or damaged items. Safely and securely pack merchandise for shipment. Weigh and process cartons using shipping software, apply labels and tender to correct carrier (UPS, Fedex and USPS). DETAILS * Work hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. This position’s days and hours can be flexible 30-40 hrs per week. * 12 days of paid time off annually based on time worked (1 day upon hire / +1 day off per month worked) * Requires handling boxes weighing 10-40 pounds and occasionally heavier. * ABS is located on the 2nd story and requires the use of stairs multiple times each day. Receiving /picking & packing requires applicant to be on their feet for much of the day moving through the shelves picking items or working at a table packing orders. * Requires use of a forklift and pallet jack (training provided) * Must be a good team player and be able to take direction. Must be able to work independently towards meeting predefined goals and deadlines. * Phone sales and support / service to customers via inbound calls. SKILLS & QUALIFICATION This is not a desk job and is suited for an active individual. Good computer skills, being able to work within Windows based software and use of Outlook email is required. The applicant will be transitioning from receiving/picking/packing and phones continuously. The successful applicant must have good attention to detail, be able to transition easily between tasks, and enjoy a dynamic environment and working independently.
