I believe the most pressing problem facing the world today is climate change. I believe that many of us feel powerless. So we rely on government to make policies to curb pollutants that contribute to climate disaster. Considering only fires and flash floods in the United States in this last year, government still has done little to nothing. And they’re going to take way too long. It’s now up to all of us. Each one of us must make changes to reduce our carbon footprint, person by person. But how to influence others to join in? It’s simple. Care enough about climate change to reduce your carbon footprint, and then tell others what you did to reduce your carbon footprint. Efforts to reduce our carbon footprint requires each to do three things: Care > Change > Convey. But how to convey in a way that turns into a national/international movement? I believe it can happen through creating an alliance of people, just as the Sunrise Movement currently operates. I have ideas about how to make that happen, but would like to have other concerned people meet together to brainstorm.
