We’re a Minneapolis recording project called "The Get Together" reaching out to keyboardists who are into synths and modern Psychedelic/ R&B. We actively gig, have been featured on the Current & Reviler, and played venues like 7th St and other local staples. Unlike most projects, all songs and parts are pre-recorded and “The Get Together” is the project whose goal is to re-create them live. Above jamming and vibe, players will be assessed on their ability to play the parts true to the recording. This lets a group of musicians be very efficient with their time - but it only works when everyone is prepared and practiced. Every member learns their part via stems, so learning song structures and melodies by ear is a necessary talent. The project owns a Nord Electro 6d & a Korg Prologue that will ultimately be the gear played live so owning your own synth is not necessary but obviously preferred. Recreating studio recordings live often involves playing the technology as much as it involves playing the melodies so interest in music technology is also a plus. Minimum time commitment is to practice weekly (currently Wednesdays at 6PM) and gig monthly. All band members are in their mid-to-late 20's.
