Description
Daisy is our 3 year old American Bulldog and unfortunately she has to be rehomed to a family or person(s) without other dogs. Daisy is the sweetest dog you'll meet with people, kids, cats and even small pets, but just simply hates other dogs! We've tried to work through it over the years and could continue keeping her separated from the other dogs, but it just gives her a poor quality of life because she can't enjoy family events like the others. We have four of this breed currently, and she is the only one that is untrusted with the others. She's been a mother one time and did have to have an emergency c section, but afterward she never developed attachments with the pups. So, basically, there's not a workaround to it and we're only interested in rehoming her for her OWN well being, therefore she will not go to another home with other dogs (we've been asked before). This is a really hard decision on our family, because our girls are very attached to their Daisy girl. She's their nighttime cuddles buddy! But we think Daisy would be happier not having to be separated all the time and kenneled. Daisy is about 65 pounds, very muscular and well built and a great watch dog. She's also very lazy - no really, she's a LAZY DAISY! She would be a great companion for a senior citizen who needs a good watch dog and has a yard (she does pull on the leash). She loves to just lay on the couch and lounge around and sleep. She really doesn't call for much exercise other than the occasional romp outside to keep her in shape. She likes food a LOT and will do anything for treats! She does drool too. LOL Daisy LOVES cats and bunnies! She's been around birds, rabbits, Guinea pigs, sheep, cattle and bulls, and even horses - fine with all except other dogs. Here's the thing - she'll be "okay" for a while and tolerate the other dogs in her pack, but she's a control freak and is EXTREMELY intelligent, so if she sees another dog break a rule or do what mom said NOT to do, she attacks them. Or, sometimes it's food/treat related, sometimes it's over her favorite spot on the couch, and sometimes it seems like maybe they just gave her the stink eye and she gets mad. That being said, she learns everything except anger management very easily! She can sit, shake and lay down and is very potty trained and kennel trained. She loves car rides and Dutch Bros Puppaccinos with her family. Daisy is healthy, a very sweet dog and UTD on shots. She does have NKC registration and papers and her show name is "She Ain't No Daisy." We will provide this paperwork after you provide proof of spay. Please note, she is an American Bulldog, NOT an American Bully which is very common right now. American Bulldogs are a much older breed that was used to create the American Bully breed. American Bulldogs developed from the English Bulldog descendants which came over with colonists and helped develop the south. They are boar dogs and farm utility dogs and are not related to the American Pitbull Terrier or Staffordshire Terriers, which the American Bullies are. The American Bulldogs are also now recognized by the AKC, though we are registered with the NKC and others. If you have more questions on the breed, Daisy or anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out. Daisy will have a small rehoming fee to ensure she is going to a good home. She also will be required to be spayed as condition of adoption.
