Description
I have an ancient Scorpion Mud Turtle who's looking for a new home. They are called scorpions because of the hard tip on their tail which resembles a stinger. 10 inch shell length and built like a tank. Guessing around 30 years old. He never misses a meal and is a very strong feeder. When he's not eating he is quite a shy turtle and does not play nice with others. Asking $50 for turtle and filter.
Enclosure wise this animal will need at least a 75 gallon aquarium with larger tubs/tanks being better. He has been kept in a 4x2 stock tank with a large stone hide since I've had him and does great in there. These animals are best kept in shallow (10 inches or less) water which will make cleaning much easier.
This far and away the easiest turtle I have ever cared for.
