Assembly Position in Downtown Jacksonville. Monday to Friday (Occasionally on Saturdays) 6:00am – 2:30pm Pay rate: $14hr The company makes what they call CURBS from Wood and Sheet Metal to be used as a base foundation for big commercial A/C units. These A/C units sit on top of commercial buildings and these units cannot sit directly on the roof, so the company builds these curbs. The duties for the Assembly position include: Measuring and cutting wood support material with a Chop Saw (Mitre Saw). Bending and Forming Sheet Metal. Caulking the seams and corners of the sheet metal. Prepping the finished product for shipping. The company is willing to train a candidate that is good with their hands, stays focused, can read a tape measure and work safely with minimal power tools.
