Description

Hello! I have a 3 year old pit mix who is blind, full of energy, loving, playful, and all around actually a really great dog. We rescued her from a "dog rescue" that is supposed to retrain dogs and re home them. Well this hasn't been the case. We have had her for 2 years now and we have worked with her and worked with her as best as we can and we have come to the conclusion she ultimately needs a farm or a yard. She is an outside dog and we are trying to live in an apartment. So as you can imagine she spends a lot of her time in her kennel, because she can't actively go outside and burn her energy off. We have done our best to re train her in the time we have had her but she also hasn't had the easiest run of things. She was saved from a puppy farm then brought to the "dog rescue". To put it into perspective as to what we have had to deal with and why she is an outside dog. While she was at the "dog rescue" she was put into a muddy disgusting pen out in the rain 24/7 and then these people are flipping said dogs as if they are house trained after getting them from god knows where and sticking them outside. That being said she has other problems, she is very timid and scared of everything due to her being impaired from being blind. We can't take her on walks near a road or anything with cars or even skateboards or bikes. She likes to pull her hair out and chew giant bloody spots into herself, I am guessing this is a response to her being blind as well. Has a very strong odor due to her chewing on herself constantly. Destructive tendencies and still has problems learning that outside is for potty and inside is inside. When we leave or go to bed she has to be in the kennel because she can't be trusted outside of her kennel for the night. We just want to find her a good home where she can be unbothered by the noise of the bustling world and play freely without worry of an invisible entity terrorizing her. She would do best with other dogs to run and play with, or maybe a family with older kids. All it boils down to is I think her life extends beyond us and we don't have enough space. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
