ONLINE (Available from anywhere in the world) - Jocelyn Medina’s vocal workshop is open to beginner and intermediate students looking to develop vocal technique while tapping into the language of jazz. Whether you are an aspiring singer or an instrumentalist who would like to do more singing, if you are looking for singing classes, this workshop will give you the ability to learn the foundations necessary to develop your singing voice, learn a vast selection of jazz standards and feel comfortable exploring their interpretative possibilities. During the course of the workshop, students will practice vocal and breathing exercises geared toward strengthening the singing voice, supporting and improving tone, and increasing vocal elasticity and range. While touching upon basic notions of music theory, students will also learn more about phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, and verbal/nonverbal communication. Beginner / Intermediate level.
