Description
I am a drummer. I am 38. I need music in my life.
Here are the songs I would like to cover:
Stooges-"1970"
Hives-"Die Alright"
Yardbirds-"Stroll on"
Zombies-"Butchers tale"
Jimi-"Crosstown traffic"
Cream-"politician"
Doors-not sure
Pink floys-"mudmen" or something else early and psychedelic
The Who: "Heaven and Hell"
Ideally, the band would be called A Fine Family Fortune, which is a line from the film "Barry Lyndon." I would like the band to have a 60s-70s British/American rock/psych vibe, with roaring guitar solos, dopeass bass lines, and cool hair.
We would need a place to practice. I have drums, plenty of em. I recognize these songs are challenging to learn; my goal is not to do note-for-note covers, but rather covers which capture the feel and spirit of the original: freedom, youth, energy, power, musicianship, fun, rock and roll basically.
Once we have established our groove, some originals might be a good idea.
As I said, I'm 38. I am looking for musicians in the 25-45 range. I'm not sure what we would do with this act, and I don't know about you, but I'd like to play some shows.
Okay? Looking forward to hearing from you.
