Position Title: Plant Nursery Worker at Native Farms LLC, Waimanalo Open positions in Production, Grow, and Shipping Supervised By: Owner or designated supervisor Job Type: Full-time and Part Time available Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour Duties and Essential Functions: • Perform all tasks in plant nursery work flow: transplanting, feeding plants, trimming, packaging, weeding, cleaning, packing, and shipping. • Maintains records of planting, watering, and plant treatment schedules. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Keep tools or implements clean and return tools to where they belong upon completion of a task. • Comply with all company policies. • Assist Leads in maintaining safety practices and protocols. • Any additional duties as determined by Management. Other Associated Factors: • Able to lift, pull or push 50+ pounds and stand for long hours. May be required to lift boxes of plants, and soil, etc. • Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the work day and for extended periods of time. • Team oriented individual able to work under the direction of the Manager and/or Leads. • Maintain clean, sanitary and organized work areas. • Self motivated and the ability to multi-task. • Actively involved in Workplace Safety in a warehouse and farm setting. • Able to work in a fast paced environment and the flexibility to adapt to change as needed. • Ensure proper procedures are followed and takes steps to update any outdate procedures. • Ability to deal with problems and resolve them in a professional manner. • Authorized to work in the US. • Reliable transportation to work. Education and Experience: • Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent required. • Prior nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience is desirable. *The job description defines the general requirements and level of work. Working Conditions: Outdoors in all types of weather and warehouse environments. Work Hours: Usually early hours to midafternoon. Must be available for some weekend shifts.
