AND OF COURSE WE HAD TO BRING OUT THE CHIPS AND SALSA FOR YOU TO ENJOY! YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO ENJOY COMPLIMENTARY TEQUILA SHOTS THANKS TO OUR FRIENDS OVER AT OLMECA ALTOS! WHAT IS THIS EVENT? THIS EVENT IS PART OF OUR CULTURA PROGRAMMING AS WE CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE. WE ARE OFFERING BASIC SALSA CLASSES TO OUR PATRONS WHILE OFFERING COMPLIMENTARY CHIPS AND SALSA THROUGHTOUT THE NIGHT. OF COURSE WE BROUGHT SOME FRIENDS ALONG TO HAND OUT FREE COMPLIMENTARY TEQUILA SHOTS AS WELL! SO WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE? A BASIC INTRODUCTION ON HOW TO DANCE SALSA, COMPLIMENTARY CHIPS AND SALSA AND SOME SHOTS OF TEQUILA! WHO IS TEACHING THE CLASS? WE HAVE OUR AWESOME PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR ERIKA LOPEZ! Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Erika Lopez has always had a love for dance. She started out with hip hop, had been a part of her High School’s dance team and began taking classes at Broadway Dance Center. It wasn’t until October 2007 that she found her passion for Salsa. She started off taking salsa classes and joined a student dance team, where she realized performing was going to be an important part of her life. Since then she has had the privilege of dancing on both a semi-pro and Pro Team, and performing in different parts of the world including Peru, Texas, Puerto Rico and DR to name a few. Throughout the years she’s learned other various styles of dance, while also becoming an instructor for both children and adults. She teaches various workshops including Latin Fusion, cha cha, salsa partner work, Zumba and ladies’ salsa styling. She’s performed at venues including Madison Square Garden and Citi Field, and has performed alongside various artists such as Anthony Ramos, Loisaides, Winstar and various Salsa bands. Erika has been fortunate enough to obtain opportunities to perform on television such as Fox 5 and NY1. She continues to flourish and grow, hoping to inspire others with the same love she shares for dance and is blessed to be a part of an amazing experience. She is currently teaching Latin Fusion, Heels and Salsa classes in the city, as well as private dance classes and packages. DO I NEED A DANCE PARTNER? NO! BUT WE RECOMMEND BRINGING A FRIEND WITH YOU TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE AS YOU LEARN THE BASICS OF SALSA! WHAT TIME DOES THE CLASS START? WE WILL START THE CLASS AT 7:30PM TO GIVE SOME EXTRA TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GET TO THE VENUE AND OF COURSE TO TAKE SOME SHOTS! ANY RESTRICTIONS?
