Description
On 9/19 in 1787, the United States Constitution was signed by delegates of the Constitutional Convention at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. After they adjourned, a woman was heard asking Benjamin Franklin: "What have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
Franklin replied: "A Republic. If you can keep it."
