Two great events in one day. Participate in one or both. Walk our trails and then enjoy a festival with food, music and family fun! Flat Rock Brook’s Great Fall Festival is back by popular demand. This outdoor event promises to continue to deliver lots of family fun. • Delicious BBQ • Live bluegrass music with Blue Plate Special • Games & Crafts • Nature Walks • Live Birds of Prey Program • Other Family Fun and Festivities We will host our first annual Walkathon for the Woods on the same day. The walk is an opportunity for individuals and families, to walk “Your Way” to raise money to help us recover from the fury of Hurricane Ida and to enhance our education programs for school children. Participants can select to walk anytime, anywhere from now until October 24th. Walkers pay a registration fee and are encouraged to fundraise through obtaining supporters or forming teams. If Walkathon participants choose to walk our trails on October 24th they can celebrate the beauty and fun of autumn at our Great Fall Festival immediately after completing their hike. You will also receive a tote bag and snacks. Event Times on October 24th Walkathon 11:00 PM – until you finish you walk and join the festival! Flat Rock Brook Nature Center is a 150-acre nature preserve with over three and a half miles of hiking trails and hundreds of annual educational programs.  Flat Rock Brook Nature Association’s mission is to preserve the woodlands within its boundaries and to provide outdoor education experiences to thousands of adults and children each year. A 501c (3) non-profit organization, Flat Rock Brook is permanently zoned as open space and is located just off Route 4 at 443 Van Nostrand Avenue in Englewood, NJ.
