Accomplished former professional trombonist, improvisor, and composer looking for playing partners. I am technically proficient and have great ears. Played professionally full time for ten years based in NYC, performing hundreds of shows in a variety of musical contexts. Conservatory degree. Wide range of experience including small group jazz of all styles, free improvisation and experimental music, rock/soul/funk/R&B horn section leader, big band jazz, salsa, afrobeat, and reggae/dub, and freelance/wedding/Top-40 bands. Know a lot of tunes and can learn anything quickly. Looking to play standards, originals, and free improvisation. All instruments and backgrounds welcome. I would especially like to connect with bassists and drummers who like to swing. Currently working long hours and co-parenting so this would be like once a week or every other week. Gigs welcome and happy to help find paying gigs and other playing opportunities once we connect. Open to ideas. Busking is fun.
