Here are the top stories in Madison today: A Deforest restaurant is getting attention after the owner admitted that he is closing his restaurant because the lease was up, as opposed to his original claims that Evers and Biden caused it. The restaurant, The Pine Cone, received nearly a half-million in COVID-19 relief funds. (Wisconsin State Journal)A proposed bill in Wisconsin State Assembly would allow parents to opt their children out of programming related to gender and sexual orientation. Opponents to the bill claim that this would "erase" LGBTQ+ youths and alienate them from their peers. (Cap Times) The University of Wisconsin-Madison is putting $225M into a Computer, Data and Information facility. The seven-story building will be located on campus—next to the Discovery building—and serve as a hub for research, learning and more. (Cap Times)Shows at the State Street Forward Theatre have resumed. The theatre kicked off its return with a production called, "Mom, How Did You Meet the Beatles?" Check out the review.
