dawless electronic music - meetup/jam/art?

Description

Just so we're on the same page - dawless electronic music is electronic music made without a computer doing anything aside from relaying the audio to your speakers. Synthesizers, modular, sequencers, mixers, weird potato instruments - as long as it's electronic and not your computer (I'd argue that computers get limited exceptions for weird potato instruments, aka cool controllerism stuff, just don't start djing). I bet there are folks out there who make music this way - want to get together? I was thinking it might be kinda cool to have folks bring a electronic music device they can perform or sequence, plug into a midi clock, and jam with a few other folks. The other thing I thought might be cool is to have improv sets. I'm putting this out there to see if anyone else thinks this sounds cool: connect with other hardware focused electronic musicians, jam, collaborate, share ideas, stuff like that. Yea, I know about other synth events in the bay. We're not competing, go to those too. I'd schedule this event around any other long standing synth events, cause those are dope and you should go to them. I got 1700 square ft art studio where we can do it. Maybe some day people will make art while folks jam? Could be cool. The only rule is: leave your laptop at home... unless you're making some visuals ;) (or you know, potato instruments). Shoot me an email if you're interested, I just kinda wanna know if anyone else would even want to do something like this. It would go down pretty close to point isabelle in Richmond. Total, chill af, community vibe. I'm a dawless musician, though not really a modular guy. I kinda just like big beautiful synths, strange french synths, complicated midi networks and I'm currently learning to build integrated audio visual performances with midi and LEDs and projection mapping.
