Description

Do you like sleek black cats? Who doesn't! I have a very special black kitty named Black Mist. I am a rescuer/rehabber, and I trapped sweet Misty as an injured feral (about 5 months old at the time) just over a year ago. He had likely been hit by a car, and was dragging his rear legs. After a vet visit and x-rays, he was found to have a fractured pelvis and a broken leg, poor baby. I was advised to keep him in a medium to large animal cage, and keep him fairly inactive so that the pelvis could heal... then we would address the broken leg. The pelvis was the most important thing. I kept Misty in the TV/sunroom where he could interact with me and with my other foster cats. Lo and behold, not only did his pelvis heal up, but he started walking, and he became completely friendly. (Who says that ferals can't be tamed?!) He knew that we were helping him, and he's very sweet and grateful. Misty has now been pronounced stable... he no longer needs any medical assistance. He walks just a bit wonky now and then, but most people wouldn't even notice. He has a medium long coat, with a fluffy tail, and sort of a long nose, and he's just the most wonderful cat. He gets along with all my other furbabies, but I don't think he'd mind being in a less busy household. Misty is quiet and mellow, and loves to get rubbed. He does need to be an indoor cat. Would you like to make this sweet boy part of your household? I would love to chat with qualified applicants, and a small rehoming fee would apply. Please tell me about yourself and your household, and we'll start a conversation. Thanks!
