Thanks for clicking! I’ve wanted to start a tool cover band for quite some time, but if you know their music, you know this task is NOT for beginners. I have put a similar post up around seven times within the last ten years, but very few have had the courage to attempt it. I know you’re out there! I am an experienced vocalist with degrees in Recording Arts & Music Production. I worked down in LA for the better part of a decade in the best studios in the nation as a recording engineer, but left that scene around 2015. As a vocalist, I have been a part of countless bands, trained in boys choirs, church choirs, school choirs and even sang in the Sistine Chapel back in 2001 (first time music was allowed in that venue since the 1600s). I play other instruments as well, but singing is my forte. Like Maynard, I prefer to be in the background as I believe in highlighting the other more important parts of the group. I believe in a collaborative approach and open to criticism. Feel free to tell me to “fuck-off”, as I also believe that honesty and open communication is the best policy. Happy to discuss the rest.
