Description
I am looking to rehome my 11 month old dog;Maple
She is a cocker spaniel/Windhound mix. The breeder bred both breeds and had an accidental paring.
We bought her in December and upon pick up I noticed she was extremely timid. She has grown out of it a little, but I'd say she's still in the timid side. Especially around new people.
She does good around our children which range from 2-13 years old. And seems comfortable around my kids friends as well.
She is used to having a large fenced yard (couple acres) to run in.
She has only met our other dog and our in-laws dog, but does well with both.
She does not share her food bowl well. I don't let the kids around her when she eats and she has her own bowl so she doesn't have to share.
She would do best in a home where people are home more often than not, and where she can get plenty of time to run. I think lots of one on one attention could pull her out of her shell and make her more confident.
She is a chewer. She will chew anything. But she's also a weak chewer so toys tend to last her a month or so give or take.
90% potty trained, she will have the occasional overnight or workday accident.
Now for the reason we have decided to rehome her. Our cat. She was playful at first, and still is. But she's getting rougher day by day with him, and it's not feasible for us to keep them separate all the time while maintaining a good quality of life. So obviously I would not recommend a home with cats.
She's up to date on shots her breeder got her a full package I'll try my best to find that card. She is not fixed at this time.
$200 rehoming fee.
