Description
Rocco is an extremely handsome, friendly, 23-month old Black Lab/German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix. He's been part of our family from 10 weeks old and has moved across the country with our household that includes children and other pets. He's very energetic, housebroken, loves to hike and play, is good in the car, is trustworthy alone in the house, and is generally a wonderful pet. That said, he can sometimes (not always) be aggressive around other dogs and would probably do best in a house where he's the only dog. He has never bitten anyone and is not destructive, but he is definitely headstrong and could probably use professional obedience training to be the perfect pet. Unfortunately, our house is also the location for a preschool and we have many young children coming and going and we can't give Rocco the one-on-one time he deserves. We're looking to re-home this beautiful boy with folks who can give him the love and attention he needs, ideally to a house with no kids, or older kids, and a fenced yard. Free to a good home but we are asking for a receipt for at least $50 to a pet welfare agency of your choice. Rocco is a wonderful hiking companion, watchdog, and pal and we will only re-home him to someone who can provide a great life for him. (For those who live far from southern VT we'd split the cost of getting him to you if we all believe it would be a great fit.)
