Description

Guided tour of the Skolfield-Whittier House, owned and operated by Pejepscot History Center Take a guided tour through the Victorian-era Skolfield-Whittier mansion, a true time capsule of life from the mid-19th century through the mid-20th century. Built from a shipbuilding and shipping fortune, the house has an uneasy connection to the 19th-century southern slave economy. It also housed residents who made their names in medicine, forensics, education, and women's issues. The houses numerous rooms have all their furnishings, decoration, and personal items intact. Many people say it's as if the family only just left. Come see for yourself! PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. They are, however, transferrable to another date dependent upon availability. Please contact PHC at (207) 729-6606 or [email protected] to make arrangements.
