An Airbnb guest named Marka Shapiro set my house on fire. With my family inside. Fault is not in question. She came back to collect her things and then walked out the door leaving us a dozen sex toys, a filthy letterbox, and $70,000 worth of property damage to content with. What about Airbnb's "$1,000,000 Host Guarantee" we relied on? It proved to be a scam. Our life is in ruins and I'm certain we are not the only ones. TELL EVERYONE NOT TO OPEN THEIR HOME TO AIRBNB STRANGERS IF THEY STILL WANT A HOME TO COME BACK TO.
