This is a benefit concert to help Mike Ray. Join us for an amazing night of music and to help the Ray family with hope and financial help. Hi, my name is Bri Ray. My parents are Mike and Lynette Ray. On Friday, September 3rd, my dad had a heart attack and collapsed in the parking lot while at work. An ambulance was called, CPR was performed, and his heart was restarted. Since that time he has been fighting an uphill battle at the hospital. His heart has stopped twice more. He has endured dozens of tests and procedures and may need heart surgery. Since it was an emergency situation, the ambulance carried my dad to the nearest hospital. Based on the most recent conversation with their insurance, it's unknown how much of the medical expenses they will cover if any. As you can imagine, this is already an incredibly scary, painful, and stressful time for our family. The lack of communication and support from the insurance company only adds to our stress—especially my mom's. Eight years ago, my father had a severe stroke and became completely paralyzed on the right side of his body and lost all ability to speak. From then until now my mother has been right by his side helping with therapy, working full-time to make ends meet, and loving my dad. Now, she is still right by his side helping and loving him and doing her best to hold everything together. If there's one thing my parents engrained into each of their children it's love. To love and support each other always. To love and support the people around us always. Today, we are asking for the love and support of friends and strangers. We are asking for love and support from you. We appreciate anything that you can donate to help Mike. These funds will be used for any medical expenses, specialists, in-patient rehab, etc. that will not be covered by insurance. We are also asking for prayers. We appreciate all the help we can get.
