Free Medicinal Herbal Classes at La Plaza Community Garden The Free Medicinal Herb Classes at La Plaza Cultural Community Garden happens every other Saturday throughout the Summer and into the Fall. Held in our Medicinal Garden, where we have over 23 unique plant species used in Western and Eastern Herbalism. Master Herbalist, Noreen Kelly, will lead the discussion, focusing on how to identify certain herbs, their traditional uses (with some folklore thrown in), and what scientific evidence exists about each plant. We will then have a tea. Questions are enthusiastically welcome :) Dr. Kelly is a Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in Western Herbalism and Homeopathy. She has been a certified herbalist for over 15 years and is a proud denizen of the East Village.
