Description

Technologies for the Common Good You are invited to join us on Tuesday September 21, 2021 for a breakfast meeting, featuring a conversation about Technologies for the Common Good between: Frank McCourt, Chairman and CEO of McCourt Global and founder of Project Liberty, a new tech + governance initiative that involves Sciences Po, & Maëlle Gavet (‘02), CEO of Techstars, advocate for #EmpatheticTech, and author of Trampled by Unicorns. They will discuss some of the problems that have been caused or exacerbated by our current tech infrastructure – from misinformation and polarization to privacy challenges – as well as the need for innovative solutions that prioritize people over platforms. They will talk about Project Liberty, a tech + governance initiative and has the potential to create a new civic architecture for a digital world, restore trust, and ultimately build a healthier and more equitable society. For additional info on Project Liberty, please see this piece published by Bloomberg Businessweek. Please note, the event will require proof of vaccination for everyone's health and safety.
