Zine Making - Fan Favorite Oakland Event! 6 in - person sessions No experience necessary. In this one-of-a kind class, bring your passionate unique self to the craft of the zine, a DIY magazine that shares your personality, style, and voice with the world (if you want to). You’ll learn about the history of zine making and zine culture, and different ways to go about creating your own. Some examples: collage, digital art, photography, handwritten or cut out text, anything goes! You can include music, poetry, drawings, found art-ANYTHING! Hybrid to your hearts content, if that's your thing! Each week you will spend time learning and crafting, and take a finished zine away from the experience. Masks required. Vaccines required for those of age (12+). Submit proof upon registration. Email a photo of your vaccination card to [email protected]. You will not be confirmed to attend until this is received. Kadie Kelly, born and raised in Michigan, is a pianist, teaching artist and founder of Superpower of the Song™, in Oakland, CA. After a master's degree in public policy, followed by a recession she got back on the creative train. Never happier, she seeks to bring you fun experiences.
