SANTA CRUZ'S VERY OWN ROCKSTARS IN WAITING --SEE THEM BEFORE THEY GET FAMOUS! After a successful Spring 2021 Concert Season, and a year of no shows due to Covid, the students at Be Natural Music are gearing up to showcase their talents once again for the Fall Concert Season. After producing nearly 100 large concerts and events over the last 13 years, performing on stage has become a bi-annual tradition for the students of Be Natural Music. Youth musicians from around Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties practice weekly in preparation for several professionally produced performances every year. The Concert Season also brings along our bi-annual fundraiser that directly fuels our scholarship program; currently awarding 26 kids in need of financial assistance each and every month of up to $2,000 in total. “It really is an incredible achievement,” exclaims Matthew Pinck, Music Director at Be Natural Music. “Being present for our community has been a focus since we started the scholarship fund, I never thought it would grow this big!” Their upcoming concert is on October 23rd at Michael's on Main, showcasing not only the unique talent of 7 bands but conjointly raising money to fund their scholarship initiative to financially assist low-income students in music lessons. The show, featuring a wide arrangement of covers from Nirvana, Metallica, & Van Halen to Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, & Dave Brubeck, to name a few, will involve over 40 students & over 3 hours of crowd-pleasing tunes performed for an audience of family, friends, and fans. Creating stories, crucial skills, & lifelong experiences that students will bring into adulthood and beyond. All proceeds raised through donations and auction to our scholarship fund is a big deal.
