Nothing like what you all have been through, but carpet cleaners flooded my home, through to the particle board floor. Salt works very well at absorbing, but got tired of it on my feet - so I put it in socks tied them. Fantastic for pulling water out of tight spaces., corners, anywhere. Secret is to keep a fan or light on them to keep the sock & salt dry to absorb water. Keep flipping then My Prayers are with all..
