Description
We are a family based in Rockridge in Oakland who is looking for someone to join our crew and help out on the homefront -- helping to coordinate our household and also help with some light housekeeping. We have a bustling house as we both currently working out of the home, have a dog and also have two teenagers who are around in the afternoon. Since my husband and I are both working full time, we are looking for an extra mind and pair of hands to help.
Regular duties include:
- Researching and coordinating additional household support (e.g. handyman, gardeners)
- Researching services or purchases
- Running errands (eg mailing packages)
- Researching & making travel plans for the family (occasional)
- Pay bills
- Calendaring
- Fulfilling online purchases with credit card information provided to you
- Kitchen cleaning (mostly loading and unloading dishes)
- Folding Laundry
- General house tidying (note that deep cleaning is done by someone who comes every other week)
- Grocery shopping
This position is a hybrid of personal assistant work and general housekeeping. The hours of the position are somewhat flexible. We are currently budgeting around 15 hours per week but can co-create the hours based on the amount of time you have available and once we pilot a test run together. We are also ok if some of these hours (like the personal assistant tasks are done in your home).
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19
- Proficient in English
- Technologically savvy, proficient in emailing/texting and able to conduct internet research
- No smoking
- Min 2-3 References from previous employers
Also note that we live a few blocks from BART so it is very easy to get to our house via public transportation.
