CONNECTICUT — Fox 61 news TV reporter and anchor Margaux Farrell shared on social media that she has been off the air recently as she battles COVID-19. Farrell said she incurred a breakthrough case, which means she was vaccinated when she tested positive for COVID-19. "I am sharing this because I am thankful that I got the vaccine,"Farrell said on social media. "The vaccine is helping me recover quicker, as each day, I feel improvements." "I don't know how this would have turned out if I was not vaccinated, and I'm glad I don't have to worry about that. I was unknowingly exposed to a handful of unvaccinated people, and voila," she said. "UPDATE: as many of you have pointed out, it very well could have been a vaccinated person. Who knows? None of us, and that is what makes it scary. But if you do have the vaccine, chances are high that you will have milder symptoms." "It's that easy, and that's why we have to do our part to keep each other safe," Farrell said in her social media post. "So, as I have said before, trust science, and please, if you do not have a medical/religious exemption, I urge you to at least consider getting vaccinated.
