MANCHESTER, NH — A Massachusetts man was injured in a crash on Friday at the Interstate 293 and Interstate 93 interchange in Manchester. Around 11:30 p.m., state troopers and Manchester fire and rescue teams were sent to the ramp leading to I-293 north from I-93 south for an accident involving a white 2005 Dodge Neon. The driver, Branden Duncan, 20, of Lawrence, MA, "attempted to make a lane change to continue south on Interstate 93 at the junction with the ramp for 293 when he lost control of his vehicle," Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B. "The vehicle traveled over a guardrail and rolled down the embankment several hundred feet," he said. "The operator was ejected from the vehicle." A passing driver stopped to report the crash to state police, Trask said. Duncan was taken to Elliot Hospital "for treatment with serious life-threatening injuries," he said. The road was closed for about 90 minutes while the crash was investigated. The car was removed from the embankment by Blais Towing and removed from the highway by Skiff's Towing. Speed appears to be a factor in this crash, however, all aspects remain under investigation, Trask said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Trooper Timothy Repucci at [email protected] or 603-223-8836. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
