Description
BELLA is a one-and-a-half-year-old Doberman/ Mastiff, 80 lbs, and is spayed. Her dad is a beautiful well tempered pure breed Doberman and her mom is a high alert all-black Mastiff. She is very smart and wants to please. She catches on very quickly and is up for just about anything. She is fun-loving and goofy. She chases leaves and will entertain herself most of the time, but loves to be right next to her people. She knows her place and doesn't compete but will stand up for herself. She is good with personal space and listens for a command. She has had lots of training and knows all the basic commands. She catches on to things so easily that she learns something new every day. She thrives in an environment where she knows her place and wants to be told when and how. In her pack, she is the follower and looks for direction from them. She has two older mastiffs and a ridgeback in her pack that have taught her the ways, so she has the wisdom from the older dogs. Bella also lives with a 5 lb Maltese and could care less to fool with her other than a little play. She is leash trained and will walk in public spaces. She does fine with other dogs, kids, bikes, horses, and skateboards in that situation. Her two favorite things are water and riding in the truck. Bella never goes far from her humans, as that is most important to her. Her recall is second to none and will come the first time she is called. As with many Dobermans, Bella is a velcro dog and will be your shadow. She likes to be next to her person or know where you're at all times. Bella is protective, and will bark not to come closer but will listen to an "it's okay" very quickly. She is not super warm or friendly with strangers but will warm up with some time. I do a no talk, no touch, no eyes with company, and eventually, she comes to you. Bella did not grow up with babies or small children, and so would do best in a household that didn't have that energy all the time. She will do fine with older kids. Bella, very easily, can hang in her kennel with no problem. She is house and kennel trained, although she has always lived on a huge property and in the garage with a dog door. Only our backyard is fenced, and Bella is free to roam our entire property. She has never gone too far or been lost. We are looking for a responsible dog lover who can nurture Bella. If you're not familiar with Dobermans, I would recommend watching Youtube videos to familiarise yourself with the breed. I will not rehome Bella by meeting you one time. We are doing some pack walks and making sure that she feels safe and valued in her new environment. (Rehoming Bella has nothing to do with her) She comes from a family who loves her dearly.
