Free COVID-19 Shots Offered Before Chicago Bears Home Opener

CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears and Advocate Aurora Health will be administrating free COVID-19 vaccinations at the team's home opener at Solder Field Sunday, Sept. 19. Advocate Aurora's mobile unit will be on-site in the Miller Lite Fan Zone in the Stadium Green at the southeast corner outside of Soldier Field from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for walk-up vaccinations. No appointment or game ticket is required to receive the vaccine. Family-friendly activities and entertainment will also be available in the Fan Zone. "We're so thankful for the team at Advocate Aurora for making this easy and convenient," said Lee Twarling, Chicago Bears SVP of sales and customer relations. "Whether you're attending the game or just in the neighborhood, we encourage people to stop by and visit the Stadium Green on the southeast corner outside of Soldier Field." Nationally, 90 percent of those hospitalized with COVID and 95 percent of thosse dyribg are unvaccinated, said Kelly Jo Golson, chief brand and consumer experience officer for Advoate Aurora Health. "We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Chicago Bears to heighten awareness around the importance of COVID vaccination and ultimately get shots in more arms," Golson added. "We are excited to offer yet another way for Bears fans to get their shot and stay safe."
