Press release from the City of Champaign: September 10, 2021 There's no way to avoid it, wind and rain cause leaves, grass clippings, and debris to find their way in the storm grates around town.  The City's Adopt A Drain Program allows the City to partner with volunteer residents to keep these drains clear.  This drain named Charlie is available for adoption and is located at the intersection of William and Prairie Streets.  Charlie is a quiet fellow and enjoys puzzles and watching the cars drive by.  He is hoping someone will adopt him soon.
