Meet Jake! I took him in as a rescue, after my friend watched someone dump him from a car onto the side of the road and sped off. I've had him to Payton Animal Hospital and they have handled his care. He has had his ears treated, his rabies vaccine, a 9way vaccination, dewormed, he's had BBs removed from where someone was shooting him and I had him neutered. He is 18months old and weighs 51 lbs. He is still really skinny. He is partially house trained and while not trained on any tricks, he is eager to learn. He knows his name and comes when called and responds to his name. His name is Jake. He has been started on a leash and really, really likes walks. He is great with other dogs and LOVES to snuggle with cats. He has zero food aggression, as I've pulled food from him, played with his ears and face while he eats, pulled food out of his mouth while eating and have shared a bowl with our older dog. Nothing at all. Zero aggression. He loves toys and is great with children. ( I have a 8, 10 & 15yo) He would make a wonderful pet. My family is not a good fit for him as he is young and active and between our day jobs long hours and starting our own company, we don't have the time he requires or deserves. He would come with his collar, his leash and a puzzle bowl that keeps his eating slow, otherwise, he would just gobble it all down.
