My current guy, while smart and experienced, can't keep up with the growth of my business so I need another hand to help me fix cars that need various repairs. I buy wrecked and non-working cars, fix them and sell them. I need someone with lots of experience doing just about anything and everything to get a car back on the road. When I get a car in, it may or may not start. I try to avoid buying cars with transmission problems. I do my homework before I buy a car, and is why I won't buy most Nissans or anything with a CVT, like some Jeeps. I'll make exceptions for Prius's. I try to buy something that has a little profit in it after making the repair, and turn people down who think their Subaru with a blown head gasket, or CX-9 with a bad timing chain, is worth something because it has "nice leather seats...." (Yeah, those nice seats are great sitting in your driveway, going nowhere). I also don't particularly like European cars. BMW's are poorly built, as are Mercedes, and I get a headache when I hear "Audi" or "VW." That doesn't mean I don't like Mini-Cooper's if I can find one cheap. I prefer standard automatic transmissions, Japanese, and some American cars. I'll talk to you before I buy something, ask your opinion. You should have experience with engine repair and diagnostics, know how to rebuild or replace engines, fix front-ends and fenders, body work and repair, detailing, etc. If you can only do SOME of the work on a car, and are not an addict, please contact me and tell me what you can do. A lot of cars I get are picked up from a shop after the owner gets the cost of repair and can't afford it, so I buy it and do the repair myself for less....this is what you would be doing...I might need you to do a little work onsite to get it running so I don't have to pay for a tow. I might ask you to go look at a car before I buy it. You give me your price, and we negotiate a cost to finish. I'd rather pay you for a finished job than by the hour. This is great side-work for someone working another job, but don't expect me to pay shop rates. I'll pay you a little more than what you make at work, and I pay cash. Note to addicts: I'm DONE hiring people with various addictions. I do figure it out....and now I know right away, because now I test. I used to own a laboratory so I now have a mini lab set up for drug testing at my house. I don't give a shit about 420 (I smoke it too), or booze (unless it's a problem- we can talk about it if you're upfront, and I don't find out after you go on a bender after I pay you), but I now have a breath test for meth, and the company buy tests from just added opiates to the test- and it only costs me $2. Since it's so cheap for me to do a test myself now, I consider it cheap insurance to wasting my time with another addict. So, if you are looking for a quick few bucks to get high and "put on a show for a day," be ready to blow into a tube before you lay hands on any of my cars.... or better yet don't even answer this ad. I put testing into my business after the last dip-shit took me for $200 only to pull shit apart on one of my cars and f-ck it up at the same time.
