Curly was probably dumped out in the country with two siblings (they have been adopted), he was in desperate need of grooming. He was very stand offish at first but has learned to trust. He would make a great pup for a young couple or family with older kids. He still not like to have a harness put on or a leash, he may have been chained up are abused.
