I have a female degu that is a little over half a year old. Skittish but very sweet. She needs a home with other degus as they’re supposed to be in groups or pairs of 2. The Humane Society is willing to take her but I’m not comfortable as they have no knowledge of degus. Didn’t even know what I was talking about, thought I was saying tegu like the lizard. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Degus are from Chile, cousins of guinea pigs. They take dust baths like chinchillas and love oats. I have her parents too, they’re not available but I have been moving mom back and forth for degu socialization. I’d really like her to go to a good home with other degus and someone with knowledge on them, she can’t be on her own PERIOD. I rescue and rehome animals when I can and also have 2 separate hamsters and 2 rabbits too if anyone is interested in them as well.
