A paid intern is sought to contribute to the funding of Gallery Particulier, a different kind of gallery that connects directly artists and people in the community. Role will be varied, including interacting with artists, writing copy for website and other forms of communication, social media, managing logistics and vendors, and more. Candidate needs to be either interested in the arts (art history major, for example), or in servicing various communities. Or both! Skills: Excellent writing abilities Communication skills. Organized Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, basic blogging such as WP, social media. The more, the better! Profile:Committed Sense of humor! Adaptable Self motivated Experience: Relevant internship or summer job, such as work in the community, in an art related field, etc. Interest and maturity more important than long resume. Candidates from various communities strongly encouraged to apply. Work schedule (8hrs/week) has some flexibility, and will be mostly on site in PLG, Brooklyn. Pay is $15/hr.
