Temporary On-Call Positions SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN Purpose Statement: The job of Substitute Custodian was established for the purpose/s of providing custodial services at assigned sites when needed; ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing facilities for classroom activities, building, district and community events. APPLY ONLINE: This job reports to Custodial Services Manager Essential Functions • Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, performs laundry duties for gym, multipurpose rooms, collects and disposes of all recycling materials weekly, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment. • Performs functions that require the use of machines, equipment, and tools for the purpose of maintaining a clean and sanitized building environment. • Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies (e.g. paper towels, soap, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities for daily use. • Supports other site custodial and maintenance staff (e.g. grounds, trades, etc.) for the purpose of completing site custodial activities. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Clearances Needed: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, Children Services Abuse & Neglect Salary Grade: Classified
