Description

Dr. Heather Williams looks to explore what women & men need to know to remove hidden barriers in today's leadership. While women now occupy 51.8% of all management, professional, and elated profession in the United States, challenges still remain for women to step up and into leadership roles, specially in the male-centric executive leadership spaces. In spite of all of the advances since the 1970s when blatant gender bias in the workplace was exposed, six in ten women still don't see themselves as leaders and unfortunately many men in the workplace intentionally or unintentionally limit women’s leadership opportunities. Dr. Heather Williams’s expertise and extensive experience in personnel services equips her with an unique vantage point to present biases that interfere with women moving up the leadership hierarchy, provide vivid examples of subtle communication patterns that often discourage and preclude women from securing executive leadership positions, and offer wisdom to women and men to have mutually supporting roles in advancing the careers of their colleagues. Final Location TBD
