Art4Change's mission is to keep The Youth engaged with art integration by utilizing creative mediums of Visual Arts. Synopsis of Event: the goal of this event is for the youth to study painting techniques and enjoy creative expression. Expect To: -Develop aesthetic awareness, imagination, perception, appreciation, knowledge and skills -Foster creativity, self-expression, self-confidence and self-discipline Expand craftsmanship, problem solving abilities, cultural understandings and safety procedures Visual Communication and Production Standards: -Brainstorming, sketching, planning, and reflecting to generate ideas and create -imaginative and expressive imagery -create art that connects to personal experiences Cultural Context and Art History Standards: -Identify a variety of artists and their art careers Aesthetics Standards: -Describe how personal beliefs influence responses to works of art -Explain preferences for works of art by responding to aesthetic question Event Details: Date: September 25, 2021 Location: Launchpad 625 Broad Street Newark, NJ 07102 (2nd Floor) Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Materials wil be provided: Tarp, Canvas, Easels, Paintbrushes, Paper Towels, Cups, Markers, and Aprons.
