Part mystery and part philosophical-political inquiry, it is, above all, a love letter to African music. Mukoma wa Ngũgĩ teaches at Cornell University Wanjiku wa Ngũgĩ will present her new novel Seasons in Hippoland, a magical realist story about a rebellious child and her brother sent as punishment to Hippoland. A call to rebellion, an ode to the power of the imagination. Wanjiku wa Ngũgĩ has lived and worked in Eritrea, Zimbabwe, and Finland. Mukoma and Wanjiku are the son and daughter of renowned author Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o. Reserve ahead here. *Proof of vaccination required to attend inside.
