Part mystery and part philosophical-political inquiry, it is, above all, a love letter to African music. Mukoma wa Ngũgĩ teaches at Cornell University Wanjiku wa Ngũgĩ will present her new novel Seasons in Hippoland, a magical realist story about a rebellious child and her brother sent as punishment to Hippoland. A call to rebellion, an ode to the power of the imagination. Wanjiku wa Ngũgĩ has lived and worked in Eritrea, Zimbabwe, and Finland.
