The Los Altos band, The Song Gardeners, was formed by singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. Along with their Los Altos producer, David Scheibner, they create well-crafted contemporary songs with positive, empowering messages and a chill, groove vibe. Since the launch of their first two singles in June 2020, they have established themselves at the forefront of the New Age Pop genre.
People Passing Through contains eight original contemporary pop songs with positive, empowering messages of love, unity, freedom, and peace delivered with gorgeous vocal harmonies and a chill, groove vibe. The album was produced and mixed by David Scheibner, mastered by Bernie Grundman and released by Honey Spun Records.
The setting for the album art is the Los Altos mural titled "200 Main Street [an inventory of time and space]," by Palo Alto artist Martha Sakellariou. The mural is presented by the nonprofit Arts Los Altos and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Los Altos. The mural honors the City of Los Altos and captures its storied past. The concept ties in perfectly with the message of the title track "People Passing Through" written by Corrie Dunn. It is a love song for the people in our lives and those who have passed through this world.
